If you would like to build your confidence in using everyday English, develop your reading, writing and study skills and build your vocabulary, If you have passed your ESOL Entry level 2 qualifications, this course is for you. In this course, you will develop Speaking & Listening, Reading and Writing skills. Each term includes all four skills but focuses on a specific skill for the exam taken in that term. When you pass each unit you will receive a certificate for that particular unit. To achieve the full ESOL Entry Level 3 qualification, you must pass Speaking and Listening Entry Level 3, Reading Entry Level 3 and Writing Entry Level 3.
Days & Time Mondays and Wednesdays from 09.30 to 12.30 This is an Online Plus course (On-Campus classroom based lesson + Online lesson). The online class will take place on either MsTeams or Google Meet. (Depending on the situation with COVID-19, this arrangement may change) You will work in pairs or small groups or as a whole class group. You will also work on a one-to-one level with your tutor. You will experience a wide and varied range of activities such as listening to audios, role plays, reading aloud, writing activities, quizzes, word searches and other games. You will also use YouTube, an interactive whiteboard and computers to help you learn. Everything that you learn will help you in your daily life. You will have an individual learning plan with targets that are personal to you. Assessment methods: At the end of each term, you will take City & Guilds exams for the unit you are studying. Exams will be internally assessed and marked. If you pass an exam, you will receive a certificate from City and Guilds for that particular exam. You may be given an opportunity to retake your exam if you are unsuccessful.

Making good progress on the course will depend on regular attendance. A minimum of 90% attendance is required from students of Morley College.
You will need writing materials (a pen, some lined paper) and a file to keep your work in. You will also need: - an Internet connection to access online lessons. - A computer with microphone and camera or a tablet or smart phone if you don't have a computer. - Earphones or headphones as well as external speakers if your device does not have an in-built speaker.
