Günther Herbst is an artist based in London.
His practice considers the inextricable relationship between colonialism and modernism. This is influenced through a first-hand lived experience of how European Modernism and its influences were appropriated into the geo-political environment of South Africa.
At Morley he teaches Drawing and Painting, alongside a mentoring role on the Zsuzsi Roboz Scholarship, and fulfils various technician roles.
