How to apply

Please use this form to sign up for the session and time which you can attend which you can pick from the drop down menus below. Depending where you are in your progression you do not have to sign up to both, however you may find it beneficial to do so. All sessions will be held at the Waterloo centre and further details will be sent to you about rooming and what you need to bring once you have signed up.

Session 1: Finding your Future Job Role

If you are unsure of what career path you want to follow, or simply want to find out more about which sectors will be hiring in the future - then this workshop will be perfect for you. During this 2 hour session we will be looking at how to identify your skills, and interests and apply those to a finding a job role that satisfies your long term ambitions. We will be taking a look at progression pathways by looking into the difference between levels and types of qualifications, as well as delving deeper into alternative routes such as apprenticeships. Finally we will also be exploring the effects the Coronavirus pandemic has had on the labour market and explore the sectors likely to be recruiting in the future

Session 2: Understanding the Job Application Process

Whether you are looking for a job role now, or will be in the near future, this workshop gives you the perfect opportunity to not only find out how to search for jobs, but how to apply for them as well. In this session we will be discussing the various different ways you can apply for jobs, and exploring how you can make a more effective application whether that's with your CV, completing a job application form, or having to undertake an interview and selection process.

How We Use Your Personal Information This privacy notice is issued by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) on behalf of the Secretary of State for the Department of Education (DfE) to inform learners about the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) and how their personal information is used in the ILR. Your personal information is used by the DfE to exercise our functions under article 6(1)(e) of the UK GDPR and to meet our statutory responsibilities, including under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009. The ILR collects data about learners and learning undertaken. Publicly funded colleges, training organisations, local authorities, and employers (FE providers) must collect and return the data to the ESFA each year under the terms of a funding agreement, contract or grant agreement. It helps ensure that public money distributed through the ESFA is being spent in line with government targets. It is also used for education, training, employment, and well being purposes, including research. We retain ILR learner data for 3 years for operational purposes and 66 years for research purposes.
