Looking ahead to the future of community education in North Kensington
At our North Kensington Centre the future is bright. A clear educational vision for welcoming and inclusive technical and vocational skills education is being supported by a multi-million pound investment by the Department for Education in fully renovating the Centre. From the science lab to the music studio, the café to the community hall, the creche to the radio station, the North Kensington Centre is a place for North Kensington residents to call their local college.
More about our renovation project – the future of our college
A significant milestone has been reached in the renovation: our halfway point. This incredible renovation, driven forward by Morley College London and the Department for Education through main contractors Morgan Sindall, is a significant investment in local learning. It’s an expression of Morley’s practical commitment to playing its part in bringing about positive change through education in North Kensington and beyond.

Working with our Stakeholder Advisory group, there are exciting new learning opportunities ahead to support progression in work and into work, and for the love of learning. Whether you are interested in starting your own business, keen to work in Health, or want to pursue your passion for Music, there are lots of opportunities for learning available at the North Kensington Centre.
Looking forward to a bright future: A short film about the next five years
We have recorded a short film using the messages and sentiments of our students, staff and wider learning community that reflects and looks forward to the next five years in the context of the last five.
Here, students and staff from the North Kensington Centre and Morley-wide share their personal aspirations as well as their connection to education, to the site and history of our college and to Morley College North Kensington’s particular vision. These important views demonstrate how the community-led curriculum and the partnerships and services being developed will positively impact people living in the area.
It will be so much more than just a building or even a centre for adult education. As the spirit of this film testifies – it is the hopes and aspirations of the most wonderful community, one that is already built on entrepreneurship, enterprise and upskilling.
Dr Andrew Gower, Principal and CEO of Morley College London, commented,
“My hope for the Centre is to be well known by local people as North Kensington’s local college – a welcoming, lively location for local learning that’s contributing to realising people’s ambitions in life and work. We look forward to welcoming you to your North Kensington Centre!”
