Photography end of year shows
Learning Disability Photography
The work displayed in this show is from the weekly community class, Photography for Adults with Learning Disabilities, that has been running at the Waterloo Centre since September 2023. The students, all total beginners, were introduced to photography principles. Articulating and expressing their thought process through images has been a great self-esteem booster. The class has been a great example of how much can be achieved once mutual respect and trust prevails in the group.
Exhibited work is from the eight students in the class: Anthony McEneaney, Brian Franco, Dulani Griffiths, David Steiert, Quang Anh Le, Peter Coyne, Selina Helene and Zahra Hassaballa.
Katerina Kalogeraki, Photography Lecturer The students embraced the class with eagerness. Articulating and expressing their thought process through images has been a great self-esteem booster. Their enthusiasm grew as the weeks progressed and their sense of achievement was enhanced by viewing their images and discussing them in class, contributing to their self-worth and well-being. The class has been a great example of how much can be achieved once mutual respect and trust prevails in the classroom.
Photology 2024: Higher Education Photography End of Year Show
The Higher Education Photogaphy End of Year show realises the students’ determination to navigate both digital and analogue landscapes, bringing fresh perspectives to creative communications. For the first time in our history, five adult students will graduate with the BA Top Up in Photography and will be exhibiting their work among those studying the HNC and HND photography programmes, representing the diversity and talent.
