Iyengar Yoga named after its creator B.K.S. Iyengar is often associated with the idea of alignment. In class we study each asana (posture) methodically and learn correct alignment sometimes using props such as belts, blocks, bricks, chairs and more, when appropriate, to guide the student toward the final posture.
