Class format and activities
The tutor will provide examples of finished pieces. You will begin by measuring and cutting a piece of silver to size. The metal will then be softened by the process of annealing, and you will prepare the ends to be joined together with solder. The piece will then be formed and stretched by means of hammering. Finally, the surface will be ‘finished’ by hand polishing and by using the buffing machine.
