What you will learn
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Learn how to roll out ink onto plates to use as a monotype surface
- experiment with different mark making ideas and stencils to create monotype prints
- overprint to combine and develop layered images using the different techniques
- work safely in the print studio

Class format and activities
The tutor will lead the session with a demonstration and thee will be further demonstrations during the class to add in new information and ideas to try. Teaching is both in a group and on an individual, one-to-one basis, with technical and critical advice depending on your needs.

What you need to know before you enrol
Any health and safety information will be given at the start of the class where necessary. Some chemicals used may be harmful in pregnancy, and some may cause irritation in very rare cases. Please let the tutor know if you are pregnant or have any sensitivities and they will advise you as to necessary precautions Note: at present there is no wheelchair access to the print studio, and the studios are on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building. If you have any mobility issues please contact the department prior to enrolling
