The course focuses on solo guitar, studying arrangements that combine both melody and harmony. Further develop your finger picking skills through playing contemporary finger-style songs.

To have ideally completed Acoustic Guitar 3 or have equivalent playing experience at that level. Prior to this course students will have successfully applied barre chords and have a good understanding of the CAGED system and are now in a position where they are looking combine lead and rhythm playing. Students should have previously played Travis picking and are adept at all slur techniques (including bends) Students should be able to read guitar tab and rhythm notation to a good standard
You will need to be willing and able to do short, regular practice sessions between classes: at least 10–15 minutes, at least 4 times a week.
