In a fun, friendly group, start learning piano or chromatic button accordion, including bellows technique, chord button layout, keyboard skills and music reading.
You will learn by demonstrations, explanations and through playing your own accordion both individually, in pairs and in groups.
Suitable for students with a term's experience or those with some experience in another musical instrument.
In order to achieve the most from the course, you must be willing to practise between sessions.
You will need an accordion, notebook and pencil. We have one accordion to borrow during class time while trying the course out, but your own instrument will be required on full enrolment. Instruments with 24, 32 or 48 bass are preferable. The course content can be covered using a 12 bass instrument, although some adjustments may need to be made.
