This course will prepare you for the Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges. Achievement on your course will be measured by the completion of assignments which will form your portfolio of evidence. Your progress towards achieving the learning outcomes will be reviewed throughout the course. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals such as progression to another course or employment.

Class format and activities
Learning will be based around class discussions, small group teaching and individual and group research and presentation tasks.
Entry requirements
You should have English and Maths at Level 2 or above, and you should have successfully completed a Level 1 Teaching Assistant course prior to the start date.
What you need to know before you enrol
Excellent attendance and punctuality of above 90% is expected from all students.

You will need access to a computer and internet connection to complete assignments.
What you can do next
On successful completion of this course, you can enrol onto the CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching, or seek employment within a school as a member of the support staff.
