Learn acoustic guitar in a small group setting at a fraction of the price of one-to-one tuition. If you are an absolute beginner, or if you have learned a few chords already, this is the course for you. After learning how to tune your guitar, you will learn your first chords, scales, rhythms and songs, and develop your technique for playing open chords and simple melodies including strumming and picking patterns in folk and pop songs. The Acoustic Guitar Beginners class is a good, fun, dynamic group learning experience for all ages.

Homework will be given every week and students must be prepared to spend time doing the given assignments and preparing tunes for performance in class.

You will need to bring your guitar to lessons. Amps will be provided if/when needed. Manuscript paper, notebook, writing materials and earplugs.
