What you will learn

This short course is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their English spelling and grammar. It is suitable for higher level ESOL students and anyone who is studying Functional Skills or GCSE, or intends to study for an English qualification in future.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Write sentences that are grammatical and correctly punctuated
  • Identify the different word types that make up sentences including prepositions, pronouns and conjunctions
  • Identify and use prefix and suffix to improve your spelling and vocabulary
  • Identify homonyms and synonyms and use them to improve your writing
