BTEC HNC in Art and Design (Professional Development)

Our HNC Professional Development course will prepare you with the necessary skills for progression through career pathways. You will gain skills to communicate ideas through visual, and written statements, as well as oral presentations, and gain knowledge essential for various art and design careers. Our studios include industry-standard equipment to enable students to gain hands-on knowledge of specialist materials and techniques, guided by a team of subject specialist tutors. The North Kensington Centre has specialist studios in glass, jewellery, ceramics and Interior design, and our teams of lecturers in these areas are both qualified tutors and practising designers and makers. The course will include access to this range of resources and expertise allowing time for you to develop your professional skills. The course will bring other opportunities from visiting designer-makers and guest lecturers to expose students to a range of creative techniques and career possibilities, gaining real-life knowledge and understanding. Students will exhibit work throughout the year, resulting in a wide-ranging portfolio from which to begin a creative career path.
