In this practical course you will learn photographic and lighting techniques that will enable you to produce creative portraits. By discovering the work of renowned portrait photographers, you will explore composition and will experiment with techniques using artificial and natural lighting You will identify the challenges of portrait photography and learn how to resolve them. The course is based around practical demonstrations and hands on practice. You will be set tasks between the classes, as sharing your pictures with the tutor and the rest of the group will help to build your confidence.

You will need a DSLR (or mirrorless) camera that will allow you access to manual controls. A speedlight would be desirable
