What you will learn
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- You will gain a good overview of the Photo Etching print technique.
- You will learn to work in the light and well-equipped studio with specialist facilities and develop ideas and imagery into photo etchings.

Class format and activities
You will introduced to the techniques step by step, by demonstration and one-to-one feedback where each student’s personal strengths and interests are developed. To ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor. Final prints can be submitted for our Exhibition in July when we enjoy a lively Private View to celebrate the work created during the year on all our courses.
Entry requirements
These courses are suitable for those new to printmaking, photographers wanting to explore alternative photographic processes, those who wish to re-fresh their printmaking skills and the more advanced student wishing to perfect their techniques and develop their personal work. More advanced students can work on their own projects.
What you need to know before you enrol
The Printmaking Studio is at the Morley College London Chelsea Centre, Hortensia Road SW10 0QS, just off the Kings Road and Fulham Road, in the Carlyle building, room CG05 on the ground floor.
What you need
A selection of digital photographs stored on your phone, usb drive, memory card, etc.You also need to bring a pair of washing up gloves and apron. There is a studio fee payable each term to the tutor which covers basic materials, except paper and plates which you pay extra for as you use them. All materials are available to buy in the studio.
