Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Tune your guitar
- Operate an amplifier and pickup and tone controls
- Play open chords, strum simple rhythms and play simple songs
- Play three simple scales, pick single notes and identify the notes on 3 of the 6 strings
- Play barre chords and understand hand positions Understand FX pedals

You will have a strong interest in electric guitar playing and a desire to improve.
What you need to know before you enrol
Homework will be given every week and students must be prepared to spend time doing the given assignments and preparing tunes for performance in class.

You will need to bring your guitar to lessons. Amps will be provided if/when needed. Manuscript paper, notebook, writing materials and earplugs.
