- Gain a basic framework for the development of Modern Art in Germany and Austria
- Identify the methods and interests of individual artists such as Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele
- Examine the relationships between artists and the period of history that defined them
- Gain confidence in asking questions and taking part in group discussion
