Class format and activities
This taster will be delivered by Judy Aitken, Borough Curator for Southwark Council. The 5-week course in September, in addition to being delivered by her, will have sessions given by a freelance photographer and photo editor/ digitiser. Lessons will be practical, with students handling objects. There will also be a short philosophical component to each session, exploring, for example, climate controlled preservation of objects
Entry requirements
Both the taster in May and the course in November are suitable for those who are curious about the origin of objects and who have an interest in storytelling. Although open to all, these courses tend to be popular amongst students with a background in fine art, cultural studies and anthropology.
