This workshop focuses on the exploration of sound and space through sound installations and sound sculpture. Investigate new approaches to sound in space, such as sculptural, interactive and site-specific works, whilst developing your own sound installation for a gallery environment.

Entry requirements
A strong interest in music. Some experience of using Apple computers would be an advantage, but support during class will be given. Basic computer skills, file management, etc. Previous experience in composition and music/sound recording desirable but not essential.
What you need to know before you enrol
Some exercises, such as field recording, will be done outside of the classroom and will require students to carry a portable recording device. Due to the nature of the instruments/content of the course you might be exposed to high volume levels. We strongly encourage everyone to bring a pair of ear plugs to every lesson.
