Explore the breadth of screen printing across fabric and paper, using pattern and figurative imagery. Learn how to develop and refine designs across a mix of paper stencils printing and basic digital editing for screen exposure. Create a set of tests and samples to showcase new ideas and techniques to build confidence and knowledge in this area of textiles.
Work in a friendly and supportive studio, with individual and group tuition. Handling samples, images and handouts will inspire creative development. A series of bite-sized tasks will enable quick learning and attractive sampler results.
Suitable for beginners, improvers and refreshers. The course is tailor made to meet individual needs.
The course is delivered in the specialist textile studio which is situated on the second floor of the Nancy Seear Building with lift to the first and stairs and a stair lift to the second. Please contact Additional Learning Support (ALS) on 0207 4501 972 if you have any mobility support needs.
An apron, note book and pencil case containing drawing pencils, ruler, craft knife and scissors. Pre-loved plain cotton fabric is useful for tests.
