By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate An Understanding of Luxury Retail: Students will have comprehensive knowledge of the luxury retail industry, including its history, key players, and the unique characteristics that set it apart from other retail sectors.

Class format and activities

The class format and activities are designed to provide students with a comprehensive and practical education. The class format typically includes lectures, seminars, workshops, guest speakers, group projects, field trips, and case studies, allowing for a blend of theory and hands-on learning. Various class activities include role plays, market research, mock store design, brand analysis, marketing campaigns, debates, online simulations, group presentations, and industry reports, giving students opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios. Entry requirements

Students wishing to apply for the Level 2 Diploma in Fashion Business and Retail should have a minimum of: - a UAL or equivalent Level 1 qualification or - three GCSEs at grade D or grade 3 or above or - an equivalent Level 1 functional skills qualification in English and Maths. International students are expected to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English with a recommended minimum IELTS (or equivalent) score of 5.0.

The course will be held 2 days per week in college and additional independent learning is expected outside of college learning for successful course completion.
