Spend a leisurely time exploring interactive craft workshops led by well-know artists and makers at our Chelsea Centre for Creative Industries. Try your hand at something new in our range of introductory workshops including printmaking, 3D modelling, screen-printing, pattern cutting, sculpting organic forms, millinery and black and white photography.
By linking art and practical skills, people can make a living doing what they love. But it’s also about the people you meet along your journey. Come and join us for London Craft Week 2024.

Friday 17 May: 11:00 – 14:00 Cyanotypes and Photograms Workshop
This exciting workshop will take you back to the beginning of camera-less photography allowing you to explore photographic and solar printing processes such as Lumen prints, Cyanotypes and Photograms. You will be using leaves, flowers and fruits, as well as man-made objects. During the course, the tutor will provide a step-by-step guidance, which will include mixing chemicals, coating techniques and processing procedures for the making of creative results. By the end of the workshop, you would have acquired skills that you can use and experiment at your own time.
Friday 17 May: 11:00 – 14:00 Silkscreen Printing on Paper
Learn how to make silkscreen prints. You will learn how to stretch and prepare a screen, explore different methods of screen printing, make a series of colourful mono prints using colour blends, mask out the screen using leaves and found shapes. You will make stencils by tearing shapes from news print to create backgrounds, using a light box create more considered designs in response to your existing prints and cut more accurate and sophisticated stencils using a cutting blade.
