Morley in the Community

Study with Morley

We bring Morley’s expert tuition out to venues which are nearby and familiar to you, such as: community centres, voluntary sector organisations, housing associations, hostels, children’s centres and many more.

Morley in the Community offers a wide range of FREE* courses in community venues across Lambeth and at our Waterloo and Stockwell centres.

We believe that it’s important for people to be kind to themselves and try to make the time to do things that are educational, rewarding and fun, especially after such a challenging time.

We support our community-based students to take next steps towards employment, volunteering or higher-level courses. Priority for places on the courses will be given to Lambeth residents who want to upskill, get back into learning or are looking for employment.

We offer courses in the following areas:

  • ESOL (Entry Level to Level 1)
  • Digital Skills (Computing)
  • Maths & English (Entry Level)
  • Vocational (Working with Children, Office and Administration, Peer Mentoring)
  • Confidence Building and Employability
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Family Learning
  • Health and Wellbeing

*Lambeth fees policy may apply if your household income is more than £20,962 per annum.

Partner with Morley

Our courses in the community give Lambeth residents the opportunity to benefit from the Morley experience.

We work in partnership with an extensive range of statutory bodies, charities and community organisations. These include schools, Better Start centres, sheltered schemes, residents’ associations, mental health support organisations and homelessness charities.

Our courses are very flexible and can be run anywhere in Lambeth, at a time that suits the students. We are keen to complement the work of other organisations and are always happy to develop courses to meet specific interests and ambitions. We provide support and advice to our students to help them move on to the next step of their learning journey or live more confident and happier lives.

We actively seek to work in partnership with Lambeth-based community organisations, particularly those working in the least affluent areas of the borough. We strive to work with all sections of Lambeth’s diverse community. We are always looking to work with new partners.

If you are a community organisation and are interested in working in partnership with us, or would like more information about the work we do, please contact Marianne Fenney, Community Learning Project Manager on 07395615056 or email marianne.fenney@staging.morleycollege.ac.uk
