Morley Celebrates Ofsted and FE Choices Successes
We are delighted to announce that we have now received the results of both our recent Ofsted inspection and this year’s FE Choices survey, and we have scored very well in both.
We welcomed Ofsted inspectors to the College over the course of a week at the end of June. The resulting report, published on 15 July, confirms that we have maintained our “Good” grade for overall effectiveness, with “Good” grades in the specific areas of Effectiveness of Leadership and Management, Quality of Learning, Teaching and Assessment, and Outcomes for Learners; we were also awarded an “Outstanding” grade for students’ Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare. The report specifically praised us for making “a valuable contribution to culture and the arts in the region” and having staff that are “current practitioners and leading exponents in their specialist fields”, as well as noting that our students “produce practical work of a very high standard”.
The results of the 2018/19 FE Choices Student Satisfaction survey were also published on 18 July. This annual survey asks learners to rate their providers on their training, with the aim of providing “consistent and comparable information for learners and employers to help them make informed choices about publicly funded education and training, as well as providing consistent management information on key performance indicators.” We are very pleased to have received an overall learner satisfaction score of 95.5% in this year’s survey, placing us in the top five for all FE, tertiary and specialist colleges nationwide.
We would like to thank all of our staff for all their hard work in delivering a positive student experience overall, and all of our students for providing strong feedback in the FE Choices survey as well as their hard work and dedication on their respective courses. We aim to continue to provide a high-quality learning environment for both our present and future students.
