Morley takes Gold at 2024 Heist Awards
Morley College London has won gold in the category of Most Effective Use of Digital or Social at the prestigious Heist Awards, which celebrate excellence and innovation in education marketing.
Described by judges as “an absolute standout in this category”, the winning entry – “Ecommerce for short course enrolments” – beat off competition from the likes of the University of Leicester, University of East London and University of East Anglia (silver, bronze and highly commended respectively).
Morley was the only FE college to have been shortlisted in any of the 15 categories.
Matthew Cunningham, Chief Marketing and Engagement Officer, said: “Huge congratulations to everyone involved in developing our new ecommerce platform, which in its first year has helped Morley achieve a 10% increase in enrolments on our extensive short courses offer.
“In our awards entry we stated that ‘we believe [this project] puts us at the forefront of e-commerce adoption in the education sector’…it’s fantastic to have that endorsed at a national level.”
Morley’s Matthew Cunningham and Kirsten Arcadio collected the award at a gala ceremony hosted by comedian Seann Walsh in Leeds on Thursday 11 July, alongside Rob Dobson from web development agency Northern Comfort.
