Leisha has been Chair of Morley College London since 2021. She started her career as a community outreach worker, working with adult learners in Hackney and Islington. She became an Inspector for Further Education, and then Director of Education at the London Borough of Lewisham. She has held a variety of other senior roles in local government and education including Chief Executive of Islington Council and Pro Director of Education at the University of London. She also worked in the NHS for six years as Chair of a Mental Health Trust. She has been a lifelong advocate of the role of learning in promoting strong, thriving communities and is committed to supporting Morley to accelerate the growth and impact of its work within its local communities and across London more widely.
