The Performers of Morley season is in full swing!
The Performers of Morley are captivating audiences with incredible music and dance performances from Morley’s students and tutors.
Last Friday night, the Emma Cons Hall saw a sold out performance of Holst’s ‘The Planets’ for 4 piano’s and 8 pianists by the New Zealand composer and former Morley tutor Paul Sarcich. A recording of this magical concert will be released on Morley Radio later this month.
Morley x Waterloo Station
This week Morley launched a new community piano at London’s Waterloo Station, spreading the joy of music to passengers at the third busiest transport hub in the country. The Community Piano project is a creative partnership between Morley College London, Morley Radio, The Sidings, Waterloo Station; WeAreWaterloo, South Bank BID and Markson’s Pianos.
At the launch event yesterday, Morley College London students and tutors performed piano pieces showcasing the diverse range of music styles taught at Morley. The project is part of our summer campaign to highlight the wonderful music and creative arts short courses on offer a Morley. Camilo Salazar, Manager of Morley Radio says:
“The Community Piano is a fantastic creative project working with our partners across Waterloo to bring the joy of live music to Londoners – part of our ongoing mission to bring arts to life for adult learners throughout the capital.”
