Young Arts Club to launch in Chelsea

We’re excited to announce that we will be offering young arts provision for 12-16 year olds on Saturdays later this year.

In the latter part of the year, we’ll be inviting secondary age students to join our community and explore their creative side in an art school environment.

From 3D Design to Fashion, film making to Esports: young creatives of the future will have the chance to shine this autumn at the Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries.

Supported by our teaching team, our youngest students will develop their own confidence and voice, exploring creative subjects and finishing up with an exhibition at the end of the year.

The new initiative is an important part of Morley’s commitment to the creative industries. The UK is a world beater in creative fields, which offer future-proof careers that are resistant to automation, and a fundamental part of the UK’s recovery from Covid-19.

“We know that schools are increasingly having to make even harder choices about the diversity of creative subjects on offer. This is made tougher still by Ebacc, which only measures schools by certain subjects. We want to be able to offer an additional opportunity for young people to explore this fantastic field.”
