Rhythmic health exercises for the over 50's to tone up and align the body, promote confidence, and improve physical and mental well-being.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Have posture awareness
  • Know how to exercise safely and correctly
  • Identify the benefits and purpose of each exercise
  • Maintain cardio-fitness
  • Know how to use hand weights
  • Carry out floor exercises for muscle toning

Class format and activities

The course will be delivered in college with social distancing. Typical activities include: Moving around the room, to music; Exercises for mobility, Aerobic section, Work with hand weights for toning, floor work on mats to strengthen muscles; Stretching to develop flexibility Conscious Relaxation practice.

This course is a general level suitable to those aged 50+ who are fairly active.
